Hello scrappy friends and thank you for joining us for this super fun product swap between SpiegelMom Scraps and Cuts2Luv! I hope you have had fun hopping along through all the amazing blogs so far!!! I had a great time combining the products from these two companies, especially the Flair badges from Cuts2luv. They look so awesome together! I hope you enjoy what I’ve created for you today! Remember to leave comments on all the designers blogs to be entered to win a couple fabulous prizes from each company!
I started with a piece of Navy cardstock. I lined it with a silver signo pen and splattered it with Shimmerz Snow Storm Vibez. I took a piece of American crafts white cardstock and a speckled stencil, which I used with Spun Sugar Dazzlerz to create some great, subtle texture. I cut a strip about 3" and adhered it to the navy.
To create my snowflakes, I used the free Flakey background cut file (available here) and cut them on my scan n cut. I misted the flakes while they were still on my mat with Pink Stilettos Coloringz and Jeni B Blue Vibez. Where they mixed created a lovely purple shade! I took the largest snowflake and covered it with Tutti Frutti Dazzlers and then arranged sequins from the Pinkie pie Pinks sequin mix and Moonshine Delight to make it SO sparkly! I also added the shimmerz and sequins to 2 other larger snowflakes to make them stand out.
For my photo mats, I used a lovely teal snowflake pattern and a tone on tone pink polka dot from an older paper pad I had on hand. I back the photo with a piece of teal paper also to really make it stand out. I tucked some snowflakes behind the corners to keep them moving throughout the page.
Next, I lined all my snowflakes along the edge of the navy and white papers, to resemble falling snow. I also used some pink thread and the AMAZING flair badges from Cuts2luv to center a couple of the snowflakes in this cluster, as well as adding my large Sequin snowflake to the center of this gathering.
My title went to the top right, in the corner. Another sequined snowflake nestled right in!
To the bottom right of my photo, I added a sequined tipped snowflake, some pink thread and another fun flair to make a cute embellishment. I have to admit, before this layout, I had NEVER used flair before, but I think I like it!!!
To finish my page, I added some silver Tim Holtz Christmas word stickers and sprinkled some of the lovely holographic snowflakes from the Cozy sequin mix. Some splatters with Snow Storm Vibes (perfect for my winter page!!), a roller date stamp at the bottom and I was Finished!!! AND, I LOVE IT! This was such a GREAT sketch to work with, amazing products and adorable girls made this layout a complete joy to create!!!
Thanks so much for making it to the end of this awesome and inspiring hop and dont forget to comment on EACH of the blog stops to be in the running for the great prizes, including a $20 shop credit to the SpiegelMom Scraps Shop as well as a great $20 prize package from Cuts2Luv!
