I had so much fun using Shimmerz products for my background, even used some of the new Paste-eez with a cut for my purple circle in the background! I added some vellum to the pattern paper edges to softem them a bit and the flair badges looked great nestled into some flowers. Some doilies and tags, felt hearts were a perfect addition as well as the cork hearts and little cork banner on my photo. I added my journaling to the lower right corner and title to the left for great balance. Black splatters and then, the sparkle, I added some of the beautiful Morning Dew Drops and the New Sweet Pea Mix. SpiegelMom Scraps & Cuts2Luv Product Swap Blog Hop!!!

Hello scrappy friends and thank you for joining us for this super fun product swap between SpiegelMom Scraps and Cuts2Luv! I hope you have had fun hopping along through all the amazing blogs so far!!! I had a great time combining the products from these two companies, especially the Flair badges from Cuts2luv. They look so awesome together! I hope you enjoy what I’ve created for you today! Remember to leave comments on all the designers blogs to be entered to win a couple fabulous prizes from each company!
(you can find the entire blog hop line up by clicking here>>>Spiegelmom Scraps)

I started with a piece of Navy cardstock. I lined it with a silver signo pen and splattered it with Shimmerz Snow Storm Vibez. I took a piece of American crafts white cardstock and a speckled stencil, which I used with Spun Sugar Dazzlerz to create some great, subtle texture. I cut a strip about 3" and adhered it to the navy.
To create my snowflakes, I used the free Flakey background cut file (available here) and cut them on my scan n cut. I misted the flakes while they were still on my mat with Pink Stilettos Coloringz and Jeni B Blue Vibez. Where they mixed created a lovely purple shade! I took the largest snowflake and covered it with Tutti Frutti Dazzlers and then arranged sequins from the Pinkie pie Pinks sequin mix  and Moonshine Delight to make it SO sparkly! I also added the shimmerz and sequins to 2 other larger snowflakes to make them stand out.
For my photo mats, I used a lovely teal snowflake pattern and a tone on tone pink polka dot from an older paper pad I had on hand. I back the photo with a piece of teal paper also to really make it stand out. I tucked some snowflakes behind the corners to keep them moving throughout the page.
Next, I lined all my snowflakes along the edge of the navy and white papers, to resemble falling snow. I also used some pink thread and the AMAZING flair badges from Cuts2luv to center a couple of the snowflakes in this cluster, as well as adding my large Sequin snowflake to the center of this gathering.
My title went to the top right, in the corner. Another sequined snowflake nestled right in!
To the bottom right of my photo, I added a sequined tipped snowflake, some pink thread and another fun flair to make a cute embellishment. I have to admit, before this layout, I had NEVER used flair before, but I think I like it!!!
To finish my page, I added some silver Tim Holtz Christmas word stickers and sprinkled some of the lovely holographic snowflakes from the Cozy sequin mix. Some splatters with Snow Storm Vibes (perfect for my winter page!!), a roller date stamp at the bottom and I was Finished!!! AND, I LOVE IT! This was such a GREAT sketch to work with, amazing products and adorable girls made this layout a complete joy to create!!!

SpiegelMom Scraps Sparklers Unite Blog Hop ~ December 2016

Happy December everyone ( I know, hard to believe!!!) and welcome to the December Sparklers Unite Blog hop for SpiegelMom Scraps!!!! I am so excited you have joined us to hop along and see some great projects and maybe get some inspiration for your next project, maybe with some SpiegelMom Scraps Sequins?

You will have 5 days to hop along and comment on each of the posts to be in the running for a $10.00 credit to the Shop! Winner will be announced on Dec. 6th

For todays layout, I went a little different (for me) and started with a piece of ice blue cardstock, instead of my usual white. I smudged some white gesso in the center, do add some mixed media without warping my paper. I used the Smooshing technique, aka as the packaging technique, to add some Heidi Ho Blue Coloringz and Cold as Ice Vibez over the gesso. I did let some of the gesso peak out to mimic snow.

I added a paper strip to the lower half of my layout from the new Simple Stories Winter Wonderland collection and added some of the light pink and teal sequins from the all new "Build a Snowman" sequin mix. This is an amazing mix, the colors are SO fun!!!

We have 2 new cut files this month also, and I used the Flakey background to cut some snowflakes,  I added them just above the title strip at the bottom and added some more sequins to the centers and a tiny word sticker from Tim Holtz to the center one.

I used the negative piece of my die cut to back my photo, after mounting the photo on a piece of brown cardstock to help it stand out. I adhered the whole photo cluster over the now dry shimmerz/gesso area. I popped some of the cut sequins up on foam tape and pieced them back into the cut file. I sprinkled some more of the Build a Snowman around, added a doodle boarder and then I inked the edges with Frayed Burlap distress ink.

I hope you enjoyed my layout today, and will use LISA15 for 15% off some of the amazing new sequin mixes.

Now, Hop on over to Christy's wonderful blog to see the amazing project she has in store for you!

For my layout today, started with a 12x12 piece of American Crafts cardstock. I used some of the beautiful Tutti Frutti Dazzlerz and my floral stencil (serendipity by Dear Lizzy) to create the top left side of the page. I also used the lovely Spring Blooms sequins to add some more sparkle!

I then used a pretty pink polka dot from the Fancy Free collection, available in the shop also (use code Lisa15 to get 15% off!!!) to mat the photo and then used purple cardstock to back the entire piece. I added some of the beautiful doilies available in the shop to line the bottom of the photo mats.
I adhered the same pink polka dot to the bottom part of my layout and then stitched some lilac satin ribbon into ruffles. I then place the entire photo onto the layout and placed my title "lovely" over top. I used some of the pretty flowers and butterflies from Claudia VanR Designs's collection, Let the Sun Shine. I LOVE how this came out and hope you enjoyed this layout!

I have a layout to share with all of you using some of the beautiful products from SpiegelMom Scraps Store. The links for all the products I used will be at the end.

I started with a 12x12 piece of American Crafts White cardstock and used some Shimmerz Coloringz in Pretty in Pink along with the packaging technique to create my background. After that was dry, I adhered my photo and layerd some of the doilies along the edge. I added some Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Lemon Drop through a stencil to bring in some more color and a bit of dimension. I sprinkled some of the beautiful sequins around the background to add a shimmer and more color.
At the bottom of my layout, I wanted to try something different and replicate my daughters tutu in the photo. I used a piece of the ribbon I used to make her tutu and ran a bit of atg adhesive along the bottom portion of the page. I weaved a length of sewing thread through the ribbon to make pleating it a little easier. I pulled the thread as I pressed the pleats into the adhesive. I added a little more shimmer with some more sequins in the layers when i was done creating the tutu effect.
I added my title in the corner above above the soft ruffles, next to the photo. It was a play on words that I though would be perfect for this picture!!!
And Now, the completed layout!!!
