Sparklers Squad Unite Blog hop and September Releases!!!
Hello Everyone! Thanks so much for joining the Spiegelmom Scraps design team for our September product release and blog hop! I hope you are enjoying all the projects you have seen so far and will continue on to see the rest, there all amazing!!!! You should have arrived from my super sweet and talented friend Christy's blog, and you can find the entire lineup for today over on the Spiegelmom Scraps Blog, HERE, should you need to.
To say I am excited and thrilled for this release and hop to day would be an understatement, since I DESIGNED quite a few of the new mixes today!!!!
For my project, I chose to work with my favorite mix from the release, Lisa's Starry Night!!!! And, my inspiration came straight from the masterpiece that inspired this mix....
I broke out my watercolors pencils and Shimmerz Mists in Mama Sings the Blues as well as Mandarin Mai Tai, to create my own version of Van Gogh's Starry night in my travelers notebook and paired it with a wonderful quote by him that just is one of my favorite.
I made sure to create highlights and areas of texture using the gorgeous sequins! From the black tower to the brightly lit moon!
I hope you enjoyed this stop along the hop and will continue on to Christine's blog and see her wonderful project she has waiting for you!!!
AND, I hope you will stop in the shop and pick up some of the new, gorgeous, and artistic sequin mixes!!!

I absolutely adored the sketch and had so much fun creating this layout! I used a mix of Shimelle's Little by Little collection, Echo Park's Perfect Princess and Simple Stories Simply Enchanted as well as some Gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine for splatters and Shimmerz paints for my background. I stitched around the edges with pink thread. I just love this layout and hope you enjoy it also!

MEET THE SPARKLERS!!!
Hello everybody!! For those of you who are new the the Speigelmom Scraps Family, I am Lisa and this will be my second year with the Sparklers Design Team. To say I am Happy and Excited to be here is an understatement! I absolutely love designing for and working with Jody, who is an incredible boss lady, but a terrific friend too. As are all of the other Sparklers, every year, the girls turn into great friends and are an amazing influence for any crafter.
A little bit about me, I am a 34 year old mom to 4 beautiful children, 2 boys and 2 girls, who you will see make plenty of appearances in my projects. We also just adopted a beautiful little chocolate colored English Cocker Spaniel, Charger, who you will no doubt be seeing also!! I've been with my husband for 8 years and I couldnt be any happier. We live along the coast of NJ and I LOVE being at the beach year round!!!
I have a really fun design team unboxing video on my YouTube Channel,
https://youtu.be/seUgpFz5IeQ, I'd love for you to check out all the amazing goodies I'll be playing with in the coming weeks!!
Todays Blog hop is so much fun, as we get to know a little bit about all of the Sparklers joining us for this year! If you would like to start at the beginning, or get lost along the way, you can always to back to the Spiegelmom Scraps blog page and find the lineup there. You should have arrived here from Jody's blog, which always has amazing Projects!!!
I created a layout today to share just a little bit more about myself. I also love the idea of this layout in my book for my kids to look back on one day and remember some of my little quirks and favorites. I think I'll do them every few years!
To begin, I used a piece of American Crafts Cardstock, easily found in the shop, I trimmed down a 1/4" from each side and mounted it on a piece of Navy blue cardstock. I cut the middle of the Navy out to use elsewhere on the layout.
Next, I used some beautiful floral paper I have from a paper pad to cut a 5" strip and placed it across the center of my page. SOme beautiful teal shimmer cardstock was tucked under the edges to create a boarder. My photo is layered on some soft pink and a piece of the nave from the mat of the whole layout. I backed the whole photo mat with a beautiful doily from the shop. I used another floral paper from the same pad as the middle strip and fussy cut a ton of flowers from it to use as layers behind my photo. Some of the flowers are on foam tape to give some dimension. I added my title from a beautiful thicker set and outlined the center cluster of paper with my precision pen.
In the white space around the top and bottom of the layout, I wrote some things about me at this time in my lift. Some of the things I wrote included "My favorite colors are Pink and Navy", "I Love Penguins", "I want to learn calligraphy". Just some things to look back later and see what's changed. To add some gorgeous color and sparkle, The beautiful "Rockin Pink Ombre" mix and some of the new, AMAZING, "Be True 2 You" mix were perfect. I added them around my journaling as bullet points almost, to bring your attention to each of the spot I wrote. A few splatters of Shimmerz Spritz in Cotton Candy Pink and Shimmerz Vibez in Glorious Day were a used to create just a bit more sparkle. I stitched around the edge of the Navy and White cardstock with my sewing machine, using some soft grey thread to give the layout a finished look.

Hello Everyone!! It's May first (April fools!) It's APRIL 1st, and you know what that means!! Time for another Spiegelmom Scraps Sparkler's blog hop!!! I'm so glad you have decided to join us today, we have some amazing talent and inspiration here for you!!
You should have arrived here from our Amazingly talented leader, Jody!! Her layouts are always so fabulous!!!
Today, I have a really fun and circular layout to share with you! I was inspired to use the circles from the face my daughter is making in the photos! She was just learning to make sounds and surprised herself!
I added 2 strips of pattern from my scrap box down the left side of the page after the splatters were dry. For my circles, I used my scan n cut to fill my mat with various size circles, and left some solid, some with the centers cut out. I arranged the cut circles on my page in a diagonal from top left to bottom right.
My photos are mounted on light pink cardstock to help them stand out and brighten up them up since the background is so dark. I used foam tape to adhere them, slightly tilted, to the page. Next, I added my title to the left photo, on the bottom corner, using sparkly gold thickers.
To add more texture and shine to the page, I added some Love You Ton felties to some of the solid circles and Chunky Cork Hearts in the cut out circle centers. A felt and cork heart are next to my title also, to keep them flowing around the page.
The shimmer and sparkle are from a mix of great sequin mixes from the shop. I used Moonshine Delight, Aqua Marine Dream and the new Rockin Pink Ombre to sprinkle around the page, I added them in groups of 3 or 5 to make sure they were pleasing to my eye. I matted my entire white page onto a pink cardstock mat for a more finished look. Date stamp and Remember This stamped around the right photo finished this layout and I am really happy with it!!
I hope you will check out the SpiegelMom Scraps shop for some of the wonderful products I used or for any of the other amazing products!! Use LISA15 to recieve 15% off all your shop purchases.
Now, to continue this hop, be sure to head on over to Christy's wonderful blog,https://christysbeautifullife.wordpress.com/2017/04/01/sms-april-blog-hop/ and check out her wonderful project!!

Happy March everyone!! Thank you for joining me today, you should have arrived from Nicolle's blog stop, her projects are always incrediable!!!
I'm so excited to be here for our monthly blog hop with SpiegelMom Scraps!!! This month we are doing a product swap with Creative Embellishments and there products are so GREAT and FUN to work with and compliment everything from SpiegelMom Scraps beautifully!!!
For my layout, I chose to use the chipboard work FAMILY. I loved the bronze/copper color of the candle holders in the photo, so used some VersaMark ink to apply embossing powder and heat set it to create a beautifully embossed title for my layout.
To start the rest of my layout, I mounted a piece of white American Crafts cardstock on a piece of tan to compliment the older photo I am scrapping. I splattered Deep Blue Sea Vibez and Cotton Candy Spritz and set it aside to dry.
I went through my scrap box and created layers behind my photo using various pieces as well as some bits of vellum. I mounted the completed photo cluster on an 8" doily from the shop as well as tucking some of the smaller 4" doilies into the paper layers for texture.
After all the layers and photo were adhered to the layout, I added the beautiful chipboard "Family" to the bottom of my photo and added the words "New Little" to complete my title in my handwriting. I added my journaling right under the right corner of the photo and then added some beautiful sequins from SMS to add sparkle. Morning Dew Drops and Chocolate Truffles were the perfect choices to compliment my photo and layout. A doodley boarder around the white cardstock and my layout was complete!
Make sure you Hop along and comment on each of the designers posts today to be in the running for fantastic prizes!
